Booking Conditions

Please read these carefully to ensure that the setting we provide is suitable for your holiday.

Polglaze caters traditionally for those who wish to truly relax and enjoy the beauty and peaceful atmosphere of the Cornish countryside. To ensure the quality of your stay and to preserve the environment the following booking conditions are applied.

1.    Guests

We do not accept under 21's Groups. Under 21’s must be accompanied by responsible adults who form at least 50% of the party.

We do not accept large families/groups. Smaller groupings are by prior agreement. Any group not identifying themselves when booking 'as individuals' will be evicted without refund.

We have a strict “do not disturb policy” between the hours of 10.30pm to 8am, with all noise and disturbance being kept to an absolute minimum and all social events finishing by 11pm.

We reserve the right to evict without refund any person/party engaging in unlawful, antisocial, unsafe behaviours or giving rise to justified complaint by another resident.

The latest time for new arrivals is 8pm.

2.    Children

The conduct of children must supervised by their parents at all times. Ball games are allowed (on the main field) but, cycling and tree climbing are not. We do not provide play equipment. However, Fowey has an excellent new play area for children.

3.    Pets

Well behaved pets are welcomed if kept on a lead, under the supervision of an adult and exercised off the park.

4.    Fire

Raised BBQ’s are allowed when raised and 2m away from combustible materials. Opens fires or any sources of uncontrolled flame are strictly forbidden anywhere on the park.

5.    Pitches

Pitches are allocated on a 'first reserved basis' and secured when we have received your details, deposit AND confirmed the booking with you.

A pitch comprises of up to 6 persons, occupying 1 main unit and up to 1 pup unit and 1 vehicle. Fire breaks to the neighbours accommodation are a minimum of 6m, with a 2m fire break within your pitch. (Discounting your vehicle or trailor).

Additional vehicles, boats, means of fuel storage, large pod tents (Over 4m wide), long vehicles (Over 8m length), commercial vehicles. Please advise us of your requirements at the time of booking so that we may accommodate you safely.

6. Payments

A 25% deposit of the total payment secures your pitch for your holiday.

Full payment or balance is payable in full 42days before arrival. If this date is missed, we will assume that you have cancelled without notification and no further action by you is required.

7.    Cancellations

Cancellations are to be notified in writing and are from the date that we receive them.

Cancellations before 42days prior to the arrival date are refundable in full, subject to a £10 administration charge.

Cancellations after 42days prior to the date of arrival are refundable in full, subject to a £50 late cancellation fee.

No refunds are given for late arrivals or early departures.

We advise procuring holiday insurance in case of cancellation.

8. Access statement

The Retreat has its own gravel parking and is immediately accessed by 3 steps and 60cm door.

The main caravan and campsite is in general gentley sloped with additional landscaping features and natural obsticals that can inhibit disabled access. The facilities are accessed by a 120mm step and doorways of 76cm.

The bathroom and laundry are  via separate entrance of  5 120mm steps and a 76cm doorway.

Unfortunately non of these are suitable for wheel chair access at this time, but in the future we do hope to be able to afford full washing facilities for the disabled.

If you have any queries not covered by the above then please feel free to contact us and ask.
